4. 04Download the transparent PNG when it is ready. Files are removed after the retention window.

The photo is uploaded so we can remove the background. Download from your dashboard when the PNG is ready. Files are deleted after the retention window (typically 30 days).

Questions

Are my photos stored?

We keep the file only while the job runs and on your dashboard until they expire (typically 30 days). We do not keep a gallery of your images.

What file do I get?

A PNG with an alpha channel so you can drop the subject onto any background. Download it from your dashboard when it is ready.

Does it work on people and products?

Yes. The AI is trained for portraits, products and everyday objects. Complex hair or fine details may need a touch-up in an editor.

Is Remove Background free?

Yes. Remove photo backgrounds for free after you sign in. Email notify is optional.

Why is this not processed in my browser?

Background removal uses an AI model (rembg) that runs on the server. After you upload, we show the file on your dashboard. Email notify is optional. Other image tools on this site still run entirely in your tab.

How large can my image be?

Stay under the size limit shown on the page (typically 50 MB). Very large photos take longer to process.

How do I get my file?

After upload the file shows on your dashboard. Download the cutout there when it is ready. Email notify is optional.
